The Department of Physics focuses on physics areas of fundamental interest and with clear application and innovation potentials.
The Department of Physics is responsible for a specialised education in Physics and Nanotechnology on the bachelor and master levels. The education is offered in a collaboration between the Department of Physics, the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology, and the Department of Photonics Engineering.
The education is coordinated by Bachelor Study Advisor Jørn Bindslev and Master Study Advisor Kirstine Berg-Sørensen.

Additionally, we offer the introductory teaching in physics for all bachelor students at DTU (Physics 1 and Physics 2).
Finally, DTU Physics houses a PhD School, comprising approximately 70 students and headed by Department Director Jane Hvolbæk Nielsen.
