The CTS group in PPFE wins large FPA for ITER

PPFE is going to develop the CTS diagnostic for ITER that will have the primary objective to diagnose fast ion behavior across the plasma radius in ITER.

In February 2014, PPFE at DTU Physics in a consortium with IST (Portugal) entered into a four-year Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) with F4E for the development of the CTS diagnostic for ITER.

The CTS system for ITER will be installed in an equatorial portplug similar to the red portplug in the middle to the right, shown at the drawing above.
