DTU Physics has available a large number of Postdoc positions in the fields of 

  • Quantum optics
  • Quantum information
  • Quantum bio-magnetometry
  • Quantum optomechanics

The positions and the projects will be part of a newly granted Center of Excellence, "Center for Macroscopic Quantum States" supported by the Danish National Research Foundation and a newly granted project “Interfacing quantum technology with neurophysiology” supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Who are we?
We are a research group at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) studying quantum information processing, quantum communication and quantum sensing based on quantum optics, quantum optomechanics and diamond physics. Our vision is to generate macroscopic states of light, mechanics and spins to test quantum physics in new regimes and to develop disruptive new applications within sensing and information processing. Our main focus is basic research but we also strongly encourage and support innovation and industry partnerships.

Our group comprises around 30 people that include Faculty members, PhD students, postdocs, engineers and an administrator.

Responsibilities and tasks
You will carry out an ambitious research project in a team effort within the Center for Macroscopic Quantum States. You are also expected to supervise students during the project.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The period of employment is 2 years.

The work will take place at the DTU campus in Lyngby.
