On Sunday, 7 October HM Queen Margrethe will present the Niels Bohr International Gold Medal to the Danish physicist Jens Kehlet Nørskov.

The Niels Bohr International Gold Medal has not been awarded to a Danish researcher since it was presented to Niels Bohr himself in 1955. But that is about to change...

Professor Jens Kehlet Nørskov has recently returned to DTU after several years as Director of the SUNCAT Center for Interface Science and Catalysis at Stanford and the Department of Energy’s SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Jens Kehlet Nørskov conducts research into quantum theory and new energy storage methods at DTU Physics. On 8 October, he will present his ground-breaking research at a public lecture in English at The Black Diamond, The Royal Danish Library, in Copenhagen.

In November, Jens Kehlet Nørskov will hold an Ørsted lecture at DTU. The date is yet to be determined.
