Congrats to Luca with his PhD degree

On February 9, Luca defended his PhD thesis entitled “BiomagneticSensing with Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers in Diamonds” within the bioQ project supported by the Novo Nordisk foundation. Within the last three years, Luca has been able to apply a diamond magnetometer for detecting magnetic signals from mammalian tissue. In particular, he managed to detect signals from a mouse brain with the diamond magnetometer. This is major achievement that has been a long-lasting milestone in the field. The thesis was examined by Dmitry Budker from the Mainz University, Romana Schirnagl from University of Groningen and Jonas Neergaard-Nielsen from DTU. Many congrats to Luca!
