Welcome to DTU Physics

We carry out research in modern physics, especially in four main areas: sustainable energy, materials, quantum technology and biophysics. Our focus is both to acquire greater knowledge about basic scientific problems and to conduct research oriented towards use in societies and companies.

Our research takes place in eight different sections focused on sustainable energy, materials, quantum technology and biophysics. In addition, we have a PhD school with approximately 80 students.

DTU Physics has a wide range of advanced research facilities. At the institute, we also have access to world-class external research facilities.

Nanoteket is a modern teaching laboratory. In Nanoteket both DTU's own students and high school students perform academically relevant experimental exercises.

About 80 students from four departments form the Ph.D. School at DTU Physics. As a PhD student you work in one of DTU Physics seven research sections.
