Facilities

DTU Physics accommodates several state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment we use in our research and teaching.

Design of instruments for external facilities

Several DTU Physics' researchers contribute to instruments on these external facilities. An advanced instrument for the XFEL facility in Hamburg is for example being designed by some of our researchers.  Other researchers have developed a preliminary design for a CTS diagnostic system for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). This work laid the foundation for the inclusion of a CTS diagnostic system in the ITER Baseline Design.

Workshop at DTU Physics

To maintain and develop our laboratories and other equipment, DTU Physics has built a large workshop. Here, in collaboration with the workshop staff, the researchers can design and manufacture new equipment or adapt existing experimental setups to new projects.
