Collaboration at NEXMAP
The NEXMAP section at DTU Physics seeks to play an active role in the collaboration between private companies and public researchers. Successful collaborations between academia and industry can provide notable benefits to all parties involved, both resulting in increased knowledge and improved products.
Therefore, we are open for business and offer scientific consulting and assistance in structural analysis, investigation of material properties and X-ray instrumentation.
Our scientists play a key role in the design and study of materials with novel properties. The scientific staff at NEXMAP has hands-on experience from large scale research facilities spread across the planet. We seek to be completely up to date within the state of the art techniques involving neutrons and X-rays.
We are involved in larger interregional innovation networks. The 3D imaging Centre is associated with the national infrastructures DANFIX and DanMAX and hosts an industry portal. The innovation activities have led to several successful spin-outs in the X-ray field, such as Xnovo Technology and Exruptive.
We offer:
- Consultancy and development projects on customized X-ray solutions.
- Assistance with access for large scale research facilities, applications for beamtime and feasibility studies.
- X-ray tomography and structural analysis in 3D, for example analysis of porosity in 3D printed materials or fibre analysis in composite materials.
- Characterization of electronic and magnetic properties and function.
- Characterization by surface spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy for composition, grain size and domain properties.
